National Participant Advisory Group (NPAG)

A voice for over 350,000 BioResource volunteers.

The NIHR BioResource National Participant Advisory Group (NPAG) is a group of volunteers and members of the public who contribute to the future of health research by advising on operational and strategic decisions.

What NPAG does

NPAG members:

  • Provide input on BioResource strategy and operations
  • Review research applications
  • Support volunteer recruitment and retention
  • Help shape how research is delivered

No prior experience or qualifications are needed. We value diverse perspectives and respectful discussion.

How it works

  • NPAG meets virtually two or four times per year, depending on project needs
  • We aim for broad representation across regions and patient groups
  • Currently, members must be registered BioResource volunteers
